  • Internet Fraud

Be careful and protect yourself - It is important to be aware that there are some people on the internet that don’t have good intentions.  Some people may attempt to obtain you bicycle or accessory without paying for it, in ways that are often inventive and believable.

Consequently, we would suggest that you wait until all money from a sale has been either transferred into your bank account or that you have received the cash in person before you hand over you bicycle or bicycle accessory.
Some typical ways in which people may try to deceive you include telling you that they have paid using PayPal or something similar, or that they have transferred the money but it will hit your account over night.  They may even have what looks like the receipt.

The only way to be sure however, is to check to that you have the money either in your account or in your hand.  That way you know that you have been paid.

Other things to be careful of is providing people with personal details such as date of birth and website log in details.  These will not be required to complete the transaction and should not be given out.
